2023 VISA X Women’s world Cup
GRAPHIC DESIGNER/2D designer
Visa is the primary means of payment at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Over 750,000 bags were printed with artwork, along with point of sales designers that included table tents, shelf talkers, buttons, posters, and more.
The pattern shown in the artwork was created by artists from Australia and New Zealand in order to represent the Maori and Aboriginal cultures. We used the patterns in combination with Visa’s brand to create a unique fusion.
The NVC Photo opp was made in creation with Jose Velez, 3D designer, from GMR Marketing. All artwork was under direction of Creative Director and Sr. Art Director.
VISA X FIFA BAGS
A design study of a quick sketch in colored pencils became a key component to our work. Pages of these little designs were created in order to think of color in conjunction with athletes, messaging, and the two brands: Visa and Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand.
Designs were chosen by expanding Visa’s color cropping text branding and using that to mimic the angles of the patterns from New Zealand. This expansion in brand design was very intentional in order to create a fun and harmonious patchwork style back.
Thousands of bags were printed and distributed, entering the homes of many fans.
VISA X FIFA POS KIT SAMPLES
Small tactics were distributed throughout stores and stadiums to convey Visa’s messaging.
VISA X FIFA PHOTO OPP
Renders were created by talented 3D artist, Jose Velez, GMR Marketing. The photo opportunity lived within Visa’s Card Kiosk, where individuals could purchase Visa’s gift cards. The photo opps used popular Australian and New Zealand athletes.
